NJCAA DII Volleyball Takes the Court in Cedar Rapids, Nov. 17-19

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA – The Cedar Rapids Tourism Office welcomes the National Junior College Athlete Association 2022 DII Volleyball Championship to the Alliant Energy PowerHouse on November 17-19, 2022. Cedar Rapids is hosting the championship for the third consecutive year and is excited to welcome an estimated 225 athletes and a total 850 out-of-town visitors for the action in downtown Cedar Rapids.

“We are excited to have the top 16 teams from across the country here in Cedar Rapids for the 2022 NJCAA DII Volleyball Championship this week,” says Jay Fanta, Cedar Rapids Tourism Office’s Director of Sports Tourism. “We appreciate our partnership with the NJCAA and our local partner Kirkwood Community College in hosting this Championship which has an enormous impact on our community.”

All 16 qualifying teams will play in the First Round and the winning 8 teams will go on to compete in the Quarterfinals on Thursday, November 17th. The final four teams face off in the Semifinals at 6:30 p.m. CST, Friday, November 18th. The 2022 NJCAA DII Volleyball Championship Match will be played at 6:30 p.m. CST, Saturday, November 19th.

(15) Cape Fear vs. (2) Parkland
(16) Montgomery vs. (1) Johnson County
(9) Grand Rapids vs. (8) Illinois Central
(12) McHenry County vs. (5) Richard Bland
(13) Gulf Coast State vs. (4) Iowa Central

Pickup tickets at the Alliant Energy Powerhouse, prices are as follows:

Full session pass = $55 + fees
Single-day pass for $22 + fees
Student pass (with I.D.) = $15 + frees
Kids 8 and under = FREE
