CEDAR RAPIDS, IA – The Cedar Rapids Tourism Office is excited to announce the the Iowa High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) Boys Class 2A Tennis Tournament begins Tuesday, May 24 and will continue through May 25 at Veterans Memorial Tennis Center at 1309 8th Ave SW, Cedar Rapids, IA.
“Cedar Rapids has a long history of hosting IHSAA State Tennis Tournament and is honored to continue that tradition this week.” says Jay Fanta, Cedar Rapids Tourism Office’s Director of Sports Tourism.
The 2022 Boys Class 2A Individual Tennis Tournament includes athletes competing in both Singles and Doubles across both tournament days. The top four seeded qualifiers in each event include:
Boys Class 2A Singles:
First Seed: Daniel Lu, Dowling Catholic
Second Seed: Kaden Taylor, Waukee Northwest
Third Seed: Jake Dolphin, Pleasant Valley
Fourth Seed: Quinn Monson, Waukee
Boys Class 2A Doubles:
First Seed: Brady Adams & Nathan Barlow, Pleasant Valley
Second Seed: Jayden Shin & Sami Singh, Iowa City, West
Third Seed: Malcolm Rice & Brock Hannah, Linn-Mar
Fourth Seed: Cam Johnson & Vyas Amalkar
