The Cedar Rapids area will be featured in an upcoming episode of a new cooking show, Chef Eddie G. Locavore. The series features Chef Eddie G., (Food Network’s Food Truck Race, NFL GameDay Chef, NFL Super Bowl Chef) as he travels the world, digging into the local abundance of an area, and sharing its flavors and people.
Chef Eddie G. Locavore Season 1 is airing now on Amazon Prime. Production is underway for the second season. The series is based on the simple concept of local farm to table menu items. In every episode Chef Eddie goes into the field to talk to the local farmers and ranchers to see what it takes to bring their food to your table. Filming has taken the show from Guadalajara to Las Vegas and now to the Cedar Rapids area.
“I’m honored to share our Locavore concept in Cedar Rapids and celebrate the community efforts of providing meals from seedling to the final taste at each event,” said Chef Eddie G.
