Member Hour: Shadows & Snowflakes

During this special winter break activity, member families can help us bring our very own winter wonderland to life using shadows!

Members are invited to the Art Studio for a creative session blending art and science. Craft unique snowflakes using tissue paper, cardstock, and more, then bring them to life on our shadow screen to explore how light and materials interact. Little ones can explore tabletop shadow play with translucent blocks and a smaller version of a shadow screen.

Join us on Thursday, December 26th, during our regular Member Hour (9-10 a.m.) for a magical morning of creating snowflakes while we learn about light, opacity, and translucency!

We’re adding some extra merriment to Winter Break for Members! Be sure to check out our other “Member Merriment” activity on January 2nd where we will use gadgets and gizmos to explore basic technology concepts.
