Festival of Trees will be returning November 19-20 from 10am-5pm at Hawkeye Downs. The Gazette is very proud to bring one of the most popular holiday events back to Eastern Iowa.

FOT will include the traditional sponsored trees and wreaths along with an artisan holiday market and several holiday activities for people of all ages. Entertainment and performances from area groups will be scheduled throughout the two day event.

While Christmas is a part of the FOT celebration (including the opportunity to meet Santa!) we are proud to add a new element to FOT in 2022 - giving space to recognize and celebrate a variety of cultural traditions and activities to bring inclusivity to FOT and its celebration of the holiday season for all.

Admission for the event is $5 for adults 18+, and free with a non-perishable food donation for individuals under 18.

The non-perishable food drive along with proceeds from the tree bids will be in support of two important community resources—United We March Forward which serves immigrant and refugee families and NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness (local chapters).
