Eastern Iowa Airport 

Travelers arrive under a striking new canopy designed to welcome passengers to the state with the image of our rolling Iowa fields and farms. Inside the terminal, you’ll notice new natural lighting, natural finishes and other modern upgrades from baggage claim all the way to passenger seating..

Bike Lanes

As a bicycle-friendly community, Cedar Rapids encourages locals and visitors alike to bicycle for fun, fitness and transportation. The first city in Iowa to install protected bike lanes (separating cyclists from the vehicle travel lane) and green bike lanes (featured on 3rd Street SE, installed 50 feet in advance of and after intersections) to help highlight potential conflict areas. City Buses 

Cedar Rapids Transit provides affordable, convenient and safe transportation throughout the city. Buses are even equipped with bike racks. Visit cedar-rapids.org/residents/city_buses for up-to-date route information.

Bike Share

Explore Cedar Rapids with the wind in your face and without the worry of parking. Cedar Rapids offers more than 150 electric-assist bikes, 70 electricassist scooters and 100 sit-down electricassist scooters supported by 90 designated green parking stations throughout the city center to accommodate any visitor. Downtown Skywalks

The 15-block skywalk system which snakes through the Cedar Rapids downtown connecting parking ramps and buildings began in 1963 and continues to expand with each passing year. Visitors can stay warm and dry during inclement weather while still getting the full Cedar Rapids experience. Adorned with murals and holiday decorations, the walkways are open 24 hours per day and seven days per week. See the map here: 

Downtown Parking with Park CR

RAMPS: $0.75/hour

  • Six downtown ramps available. Pay 75 cents per hour.
  • First hour is FREE at several ramps

ON-STREET PARKING: $1/hour

  • Meters enforced Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Time limitations and restrictions may vary.
  • Free evenings and weekends.

KIOSK PARKING METERS:

  • Park in an open spot, note space number, find nearest kiosk, enter space number, enter time needed
  • Kiosk accepts coins, bills or credit card
  • Or use the Passport Parking or ParkMobile apps to pay with your smartphone, receive expiration warning messages and extend your time remotely as needed.
  • Note: You do NOT need to display the receipt.
