What better way to remember Cedar Rapids than with a souvenir you can cherish for a lifetime… or eat on the way home! Find the best places to grab your Cedar Rapids memorabilia and explore the city!
Looking for something that says “Cedar Rapids”?
If you want something that will show bystanders, “Hey, I was in Cedar Rapids, Iowa,” stop at Raygun, NewBo City Market or Need Pizza. These unique stops offer an array of items to choose from including t-shirts, socks, mugs, postcards, magnets and more. One of our personal favorites pays homage to the mighty Quaker Oats factory that produces the delicious Crunch Berry cereal you eat every day for breakfast.
Looking for something that represents C.R. History?
Cedar Rapids is full of culture! This city was built largely on the Czech and Slovak people that immigrated to the area, and The National Czech and Slovak Museum and Library honors the traditions and memories of those people with amazing exhibits and history. Walk through the building, and then stop at the gift shop for souvenirs. We suggest taking a look at the array of beautiful hand-blown glass ornaments that you can hang on your tree this holiday season.
Incase you didn’t know, Grant Wood, the famous artist who painted American Gothic (ya know the man, the woman and the pitch fork?), is also from Cedar Rapids! Visit the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art to witness some of his amazing work, then stop in their gift shop and pickup Grant Wood inspired souvenirs to have as a memory of your trip.
Looking for edible gifts?
Some of the best souvenirs are the ones you can eat or drink when you get home. Cedar Rapids is full of amazing grab and go items that your belly will thank you for later.
While in The District, stop at Almost Famous Popcorn and choose from over 30 delicious flavors of popcorn including Cedar Rapids inspired Crunch Berry Day or Czech Mix. Then head over to Sykora Bakery to pick up fresh kolaches for a sweet treat. Next, explore the local breweries and grab a 6-pack to take home, stop at Cedar Ridge Winery and Distillery for a bottle of wine or bourbon, or visit Local Craft Cellar for Iowa inspired drinks and bites. For a drink that will wake you up in the morning, visit Dash Coffee Roasters and take home some coffee beans to brew. When you stop for a hike at the Indian Creek Nature Center visit their gift shop to stock up on amazing local honey and maple syrup. Finally, if you’re in Marion, visit The Marion Chocolate Shop for delicious handmade treats that may not make it all the way home.
Looking for sports memorabilia?
Bring back something fun for the sports fan in your life! Baseball fans can purchase jerseys, shirts, baseball cards and more from the Minnesota Twins affiliate, Cedar Rapids Kernels. Hockey fans can also get their fill with Cedar Rapids RoughRiders memorabilia from the stable including cowbells, hats, jerseys and more.
